Those who are succeeding aren’t always confident.
Confidence is said to be the trust in one’s abilities, qualities and judgements.
Yet self-comparison kills it.
Negative childhood memories kill it.
A missed opportunity.
Making what we consider a “mistake”.
Our fear of not being enough, all kill it.
Thinking we have to always feel self-confident to succeed is unrealistic and incredibly hard to maintain.
So instead of relying on confidence, rely on commitment.
Because commitment is unwavering.
It’s a stance that says, “no matter how hard this gets, no matter how many challenges I face, I will do this”.
It rides through the highs and lows.
It pushes through the negative self-talk.
And it sure as hell does not give up until it succeeds.
