Colette Werden
I’m fascinated by self-concept - particularly the link between who we believe ourselves to be on the inside and how we express that to the world on the outside. Especially when life creates an inner shift, but our external expression represents a version of ourselves we’ve outgrown.
For more than 17 years, I’ve worked in the personal branding space - long enough to develop both deep respect for its power and a healthy level of discernment. I’ve seen when branding becomes a manufactured image or an egocentric sales vehicle. And I’ve seen when it becomes something far more meaningful: a way to build trust, communicate value, and lead with integrity.
My background spans television presenting, image development, communication, and creative direction. I’m also a former agency owner, having led multi-disciplinary teams across branding, personal styling, design, photography, and marketing. Across that time, my work has always centred on one thing: helping leaders translate who they are into how they show up - authentically, confidently and with presence.
Today, my focus is on leaders in transition; supporting them through moments of expansion and reinvention. I work in the transformative (and often disorienting) space between who they’ve been and who they’re becoming, helping them explore, embody, and express their evolving identity.
Grounded in identity frameworks, intuitive intelligence, and evidence-based behavioural science, I help align their external expression with their internal evolution - so who they are and how they show up is congruent with the change they’re here to lead.
Alongside my advisory work, I have the honour of presenting at entrepreneurial conferences, industry events, and within corporate environments across Australia on identity, leadership presence, and self-expression. I also deliver personal branding workshops and masterclasses for senior leaders and executives through Directioneering, a career management and leadership advisory firm supporting individuals through career transition and leadership evolution.
With a fine appreciation for personal development, spirituality, expansive experiences, beauty and nature, I believe the deeper we explore ourselves, the richer our experience of life becomes.
